8 Quick Tips on Air Rowing Machines

1. Air rowing machines use air resistance to ensure that the rower gets a good workout. The more effort you put into the rowing machine, the more resistance the air rower produces. As your pace increases, so does the resistance, so your workouts on an air rowing machine will get more challenging the longer you row.

2. Ready to get an all-in-one workout? An air rowing machine guarantees that you'll get a full-body workout without ever stepping foot on the water. Air rowing machines provide great low-impact cardiovascular activity, while at the same time helping you tone your arms, legs, shoulders, and back so you'll get optimal results.

3. Air rowing machines are a comfortable option if you're on the tall side because air rowers have longer rails than other rowing machines to account for increased need for cylinder compression. Because air compresses more tightly than other substances, generating proper resistance requires a longer rail. Many of our air rowing machines are adjustable to accommodate users of any size.

4. While the longer rail of air rowing machines is more comfortable for taller users, it does make storage slightly more difficult. We offer folding air rowing machines and portable air rowing machines that can be safely stowed, but keep in mind that the longer main rail means air rowing machines are not as easily folded as other models.

5. Exercise can be a sweaty business, and sweat isn't pretty. Some air rowing machines, including our Stamina air rowing machine, uses wind fan resistance to help keep you cool while you're rowing. And with a little imagination, that wind can be the cool breeze blowing across the water while you row.

6. One drawback to air rowing machines is the noise level. Because of the way air rowing machines generate resistance, by pulling air through a fan, they are, as a rule, slightly noisier rowing machines.

7. If you're just starting out, an air rowing machine is a good way to dip your toes into indoor rowing. Air rowing machines tend to be less expensive than other rowing machines such as magnetic rowers. We have several reasonably priced air rowers to help get you started.

8. All of our air rowing machines are built on sturdy metal bases to stand the test of time. Many air rowing machines offer different features, including some with heart-rate monitors and different display options.
